I have confirmed that the alarm on my cell phone is audible when it's on Do Not Disturb (I want the alarm at 3:30 a.m., not email and app notifications). My idea of wearing something around my neck to hold my cards and cash is going to work only partially. I can keep all my cards in the one I bought, but the cash won't fit, so I'll have to keep that in my front pocket, unfortunately. Ah, well. I did manage to find a chain that causes the neck wallet to sit in the correct spot on my chest so that it is difficult to see when I am wearing a shirt. I'm going to have to buy a few hygiene products once I get to Lima. Some of what I have consists of full bottles, and they'll make my bag too heavy. I've been told that the better brands are cheaper in Lima, anyway.
Oh, doctor's visit. He does indeed what to increase my dosages, but I can do it with the Rx I have until I get back. He wants me to do another blood panel right after I get back before he writes different prescriptions, which works just fine for me. He was happy to see I'd lost weight and that my BP was down.
Tomorrow I'll print out my boarding passes, pack the last of my toiletries, reweigh my bag (yes, I'm paranoid about that), and unplug the unnecessary equipment. I realize there will be someone here every day, but I'd rather the electric vampires be unplugged for the five weeks I'll be gone.
I won't post tomorrow until I get settled in the hotel in Portland (and have dinner). Wednesday, I'll probably just do a couple of short posts from my cell phone as I reach milestones. Other than that, I will chat with you all again on Thursday!
¡Que tengas un buen día
